The 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II was a mid-size automobile produced by the Plymouth division of Chrysler Corporation. It was available as a two-door hardtop coupe, four-door sedan, or station wagon. The Belvedere II was powered by a variety of engines, including a 225 cubic inch slant-six, a 318 cubic inch V8, a 383 cubic inch V8, or, as in our vehicle, a 426 cubic inch 2x4 BBL Hemi V8, producing as astonishing 425 HP.
In 1967, the Belvedere II was one of the most popular cars in the United States, with over 300,000 units sold. It was also a successful race car, with Richard Petty winning the 1964 Daytona 500 in a Belvedere II powered by a Hemi V8.
